Canis lupus griseoalbus Nick Name: Elusive Wolf also known as the Grey-white Wolf, Though the Manitoba wolf was officially classified as gray wolf subspecies Canis lupus griseoalbusby zoologist Spencer Baird in 1858, many specialists never recognized it as a separate wolf subspecies. It is also known as the elusive wolf, the Saskatchewan timber wolf, and the grizzly wolf.
They supposedly reside in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, and the Northwest Territories of Canada.
Manitoba wolves have been described as large size grey and white wolves. They are believed by many to simply be Hudson Bay wolves.
Their main food source is caribou.
If the Manitoba wolf's status isn't the same as the Hunderson bay wolf's (which is endangered), then it is probably more likely to be extinct.
